Howitt Road is a new private residence designed to support the evolving needs of a young, growing family. The brief called for a flexible home that balances integration and privacy across interconnected spaces.
The use of symmetry and balance across the façade creates harmony between the masses, resulting in a dynamic form that compliments the interior functions.

The layout reimagines the ground floor as a continuous, landscape-inspired communal zone—merging open-plan living, dining, and cooking areas with a separate games room and expansive garden.
This spatial flow connects one end of the home to the other through overlapping indoor and outdoor elements.

At the heart of the design lies a meticulously crafted courtyard alfresco featuring a BBQ, pool, garden beds, and a raised platform, this outdoor room anchors the home and links the main dwelling with the standalone games area.
The courtyard is more than a transitional space; it’s a deliberate place of gathering that fosters connection.

Rooms unfold on either side of the garden alfresco, with internal and external spaces blending through carefully positioned thresholds.
The mirrored facades flanking the courtyard act as architectural mimes—reflecting each other in playful symmetry and gently framing the landscape between them.
